NOTE: If the fuse has been replaced a number of times, the fuse clips may

lose their tension and not make good contact with the fuse. Check the fuse

clips and, if necessary, squeeze them gently with needlenosed pliers or

replace the assembly.

COMPAQ Portable Power Switch Filter Assembly Removal and Replacement

To remove the COMPAQ Portable power switch filter assembly:

1. Complete the High Voltage Access Plate Removal procedure (see

Section 7.5).

2. Remove the two screws that are holding the power switch filter assembly

(Figure 7.8-4).

3. Lift the assembly out and place it on the chassis.

4. Disconnect the power switch filter assembly connector from the power

supply assembly (Figure 7.8-5).
